Greenwood Tree is a non-profit, parent facilitated organization and relies on parent support to maintain and improve our facility and programs. By involving parents in the day-to-day operations of Greenwood Tree and the yearly festivals we encourage and guarantee the forming of a strong community of committed families.
Parent Involvement Expectations
For our first year, parents are required to sign up for 4 hours of volunteer time. The Greenwood Tree Volunteer Coordinator will keep track of volunteer hours each season. At the end of each season, parents will be billed $10 per volunteer hour not completed. Volunteer hours can include:
- Classroom Helper
- Seedlings, this includes coming early for Set up and staying until noon to help clean up.
- Saplings, this includes helping during class and staying late for Clean up OR preparing crafts for class.
- Participation and planning festivals
